Feminist Outings
Feminists in solidarity with Maura Harrington
Maura Harrington came off her hunger strike when Shell's Solitaire ship left Irish Waters. This sort of action - in solidarity with and even investing effort in eco or peace struggles - are and have always been an integral part of the movement.
All efforts to end domination - military, big business or male are the main current ones (or any other domination that people fear - domination by children, domination by women etc) - is a major feminist concern.
The feminist group decided not to put their name to the action due to police trouble. Women were arrested for criminal damage of which there was none - the charges were dropped but not without the women enduring several hours of questioning.
